Come and visit the Cactus Lounge!
The CASS Student Office, aka the Cactus Lounge, is open and available as a study and support space. Our standard office hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and whether you need to chat with one of our student advisors or just find a quiet space to relax and charge up your laptop, we've got you covered. Come and visit us in the Beryl Rawson Building, near the city end of Kambri (opposite Melville Hall).
Permission Codes
If you need a permission code for a CASS course, it's easier than ever to apply. Follow this link to lodge a request.

The CASS Student Office is a central hub for students in CASS courses and programs. We provide advice from planning your enrolment through to your graduation, and everything in between.
Our team of dedicated Student Advisors are here to help. We offer students a range of flexible options, so that you can reach us in the way that suits you best. You can:
Come to an online drop-in session to meet with a Student Advisor over Zoom.
Email us on students.cass@anu.edu.au or research.students.cass@anu.edu.au
Visit us in-person or call to speak to a Student Advisor between 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (see ACT public holidays for exceptions).
Study Plans and Academic Advice
We encourage all CASS students to plan ahead using one of our Study Plan templates, but it can be tricky navigating your options! If you want to request a review of your study plan, you can send it to us for review or bring along your study plan to one of our drop-in sessions.
Reminder: For us to give effective advice on a study plan we need you to plot out your entire program, including courses you want to take in the future (don't worry, you aren't locked in to what you send us!)
If you need academic advice for a given course, please reach out to the relevant School or Centre who run that particular course. Unfortunately we cannot offer timetable advice or support, including how to handle a clash. All timetabling information can be found here.
If you need academic advice related to the content of your course, please reach out to the relevant School team:
