Updates and advice on changes to the Bachelor of Arts
The Bachelor of Arts has recently been reviewed and some changes made may affect the way you structure and complete your studies.
I am an existing student continuing in the Bachelor of Arts, what do I need to do?
Students continuing in the Bachelor of Arts will be able to complete the requirements that were in place the year they commenced. The planners provided below will assist you to plan out the remainder of your major. You may also apply to change to the new program requirements. Please discuss with the CASS Student Office whether this is the right choice for you.
Students completing a major in the School of Politics & International Relations or the School of Music
If you are completing a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Human Rights, International Relations, or Political Science with the School of Politics and International Relations, please refer to the information session and planners here.
If you are completing a major in Composition, Composition for Film and Video Games, Music Technology, Musicology, or Performance with the School of Music, please refer to the information session and planners here.
I am a new student and haven't started my degree yet. What does this mean for me?
Welcome to the ANU community! All new students must follow the program requirements for the year they were admitted to their degree. If you need help planning your study, please contact the CASS Student Office.
All majors in the Bachelor of Arts have been reviewed, but not all needed to make changes. The following majors haven't changed and therefore do not have completion planners:
- Art History and Curatorial Studies
- Asian Studies
- Economic Studies
- Mathematics
- Pacific Studies
- Persian
- Psychology
- Sanskrit Language
