Congratulations to HDR student finalists from the 3MT Competition College Final 2022
The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences is proud to have one HDR student finalist in the 3MT Competition College Final 2022. The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) is an international competition for research students to showcase their research succinctly and quickly. Students have to talk about what their research is and why it is important in plain language for three minutes, with only a single PowerPoint slide.
Our finalists, who come from many different disciplines, exemplify the research excellence and diversity of subject matter that is the hallmark of the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences.
Junmin Liu | Winner | Interdisciplinary and Cross Cultural Research, RSHA |
Daniel Casey | Runner up & People’s Choice Awardee | School of Politics and International Relations |
Shuyu Zhang | Third place | School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics |
Elliot Bastianon | Fourth place | School of Art & Design |
Prizes:
- $1,000 (AUD) for the two winners of the CASS 3MT Competition.
- $100 (AUD) for the People’s Choice awardee.
Two of our finalists will compete in the ANU 3MT final on 1 September with candidates from other colleges at ANU and possibly go onto the Australian national final or even to the Asia Pacific final!
For more information, visit the ANU 3MT webpage or the national 3MT site (UQ).
We wish them good luck!
