Dozens of yeart 10 students from across Canberra have spent a day creating at the annual School of Art High.

It coincides with the ongoing Step into the Limelight 2015 exhibition of artworks created by Canberrans aged from kindergarten to year 12.

Today the visiting students donned gloves and masks to spray paint a mural outside the main gallery, led by local Canberra artist and veteran of the Canberra street scene Byrd.

Students also created zines - small books made through collage, text, drawing and ink stamps - with the guidance of Canberra-based artist Caren Florance, who works under the name Ampersand Duck.

See our Facebook album for more photos of students' creations.
