Vale Professor Bruce Miller

Professor Emeritus Bruce Miller passed away in Canberra on Sunday 16th January. Professor Miller was the founding Professor of International Relations at ANU in 1962 and remained in this position until 1987.
Professor Bruce Miller contributed significantly to politics in the field of international relations, over a period of almost 50 years from the mid-1940s to the early 1990s.
The Professor's contribution was wide-spread and included many published works. Most of his writing was in relation to the Commonwealth of Nations but also included the nature of politics and the place of states in the international system.
Bruce's early career saw him as a radio announcer with the ABC in Sydney and Canberra and he continued his radio broadcasting throughout his career.
Professor Miller was the Executive Director of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia from 1989-1991.
Bruce's funeral service will take place at 1:30pm on Monday 24 January at the Norwood Park Crematorium, Mitchell.
