Philosophy great Pettit to join School
World-renowned political theorist and philosopher Professor Philip Pettit has been announced as the newest faculty member of the ANU School of Philosophy.
Professor Pettit will take up the position of Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the School later this year. The position will be a joint appointment with Princeton University, where he is currently Laurance S. Rockefeller University Professor of Politics and Human Values.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Young said Professor Pettit will bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge to ANU.
