International honours for an ANU Art Historian

ANU Art Historian, Dr Zoja Bojic, has been awarded Serbia’s most prestigious Art History Award the ULUPUDS award for 2009 (Udruzenje likovnih umetnika i primenjenih umetnika Srbije - the Association of the artists and applied artists of Serbia) for making an outstanding contribution to the study of the arts through the publication of her book Vitruvije, O arhitekturi (Vitruvius, De Architectura), published in 2009.  Part of the research for this book, as pointed out on the dust jacket, was carried out while Dr Bojic was a Visiting Fellow in Art History in the School of Humanities at the ANU.

This is her fourth book with three earlier ones dealing with aspects of Australian art.  Her significant monographs on the Australian artists Danila Vassilieff and Stanislav Rapotec, both published in 2007, are presently being published in new editions in Australia by Macmillan Art Publishing.  She was awarded a PhD in Art History and Curatorship at the ANU in 2005 and she now lectures in Art History in the recently renamed School of Cultural Inquiry.
