CASS students receive top awards

Four CASS students have been awarded University Medals that will presented at this month's graduation ceremonies.
Each semester ANU awards medals to outstanding undergraduate students who have maintained a distinguished academic record throughout their undergraduate studies and obtained first class honours.
The CASS recipients were Aidan Lowe (Bachelor of Music), Alexander O'Sullivan(Bachelor of Music), Helen Baxendale (Bachelor of Philosophy Honours), and Elisabeth Yarbakshs (Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Asia Pacific Studies).
Another CASS student, Laura Clarke, will be presented with the Tillyard Prize. The Tillyard Prize is the oldest and most prestigious prize available to bachelor degree students of the University. Originally established in 1940, the Prize is awarded to the student whose personal qualities and contribution to University life have been outstanding and who in the year of the award has completed a Degree of Bachelor with Honours. The Prize commemorates Dr Robin and Mrs Patricia Tillyard, who were important contributors to the formation and early life of the University as well as to the wider Canberra community.
Congratulations to these award winners and all CASS graduands.
