The February 2025 College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) graduation ceremony was a moment of pride and achievement for the incredible graduates.
As they crossed the stage, their hard work, resilience, and dedication were on full display, marking the culmination of years of study and growth. Below we showcase some of these graduates who are now ready to embark on their next chapter and present some of the standout moments from the ceremony.

Rhianna Gallagher
Politics, Philosophy, and Economics / Medical Science.
“Follow your passions and get involved. Uni is the time to try everything and see what resonates with you. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and give new things a go.”

Ottilie Allen
Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics & Bachelor of Science.
“It might be cliché, but my favourite thing about Canberra is the people. Due to its small size, Canberra has a welcoming and inclusive community, which makes it an incredibly easy place to live and study. I am incredibly grateful for my time at ANU, particularly for the friends who have come to feel like my second family.”

Annisa Shabrina Zatalini
Master of Social Research Methods (Advanced)
“Research on humans always leaves a mark on the community... the "do no harm" principle became a significant takeaway from my studies, reminding me that it extends beyond simply avoiding harm, as what is considered good or bad for human communities can be subjective.”

Aleksandar Rapajic
Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Languages
“One piece of advice I would give to students is to really take the time to think about their program plan. ANU has a very large range of courses on offer with varying availabilities, so figuring out what to study and when can take time. Overseas study and internships, in particular, are best planned out in advance.”

Hin Yeung (Alex) Chu
Bachelor of Arts, Honours (History)
“Have fun, but not too much fun. You still have to study. Having a fixed work schedule helped me balance the various commitments I had.”
