ANU ranked fourth in the world for arts and humanities
ANU has been ranked number one in Australia and number four in the world for the arts and humanities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2011-2012.
The rankings assess universities worldwide on their teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook. The ANU consistently ranks amongst the world’s best.
Dean and Director of the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, Professor Toni Makkai, congratulated staff on this significant accomplishment.
“The rankings are reflective of our continued focus on teaching informed by our research across our wide range of disciplines in the arts and humanities,” she said.
“This reaffirms our presence amongst the leading arts and humanities institutions globally, including Stanford University, Harvard University and Princeton University.”
