Debuting new material from their upcoming second album, Capital Jazz Project artists-in-residence The Raah Project, bring their unique take on the established concepts of jazz, electronica, the chamber orceshtra, hip hop, pop, contemporary, dance and soul music embracing both traditional and new principals of jazz improvisation and arrangement, 20th century compostion, song, verse and flow.

Informed by musical influences as diverse as Kanye West, Charlie Parker, Igor Stravinsky and King Tubby, musical agitators Ryan Ritchie and Tamil Rogeon's compelling new vision will be delivered by a 20 plus-piece ensemble from the ANU School of Music consisting of a string orchestra, horn section and jazz rhythm section.

This performance will be the culmination of ten days of collaboration and workshop processes investigating crosspollination between diverse modern music genres and searching for new ways to make music.

The Raah Project have performed sold-out performances as part of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, MONA FOMA, and Perth International Festival.
