The Whitworth Roach classical music performance competition - finals

The Australian National University is delighted to announce the launch of a new performance prize to be awarded for the first time at the School of Music’s 50th anniversary weekend.

Join us as the finalists for the inaugural Whitworth Roach classical music performance competition perform their chosen solo classical music pieces and the winners are announced. Supported by a most generous donation from Ms Christine Roach, the Whitworth Roach classical music performance competition will be held annually.

The competition, which is open to all students enrolled at the Australian National University, will overnight become one of Australia’s most lucrative competitions for tertiary-level musical performance.

The competition will support a First Prize with $10,000; Second Prize $5,000; Third Prize $2,500; and a People’s Choice Prize with $2,500.
