Twined Baskets with Ruby Berry

ANU School of Art and Design alumna Ruby Berry leads this workshop on the basketry technique of twining with hand waxed beeswaxed thread.

Using a variety of hand-spun wool and waxed threads you will construct delicate palm sized vessels with focus on form and pattern. The tactile waxed thread allows for sculptural freedom and responsive forms. Participants will also receive a special take-home materials pack of waxed thread and hand spun wool prepared by the artist to continue with their creative endeavours after the class has finished.

Ruby Berry graduated from ANU School of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Design Arts (Hons), focusing on Textiles.
