Make a difference with the Australian National Internships Program (ANIP) Information Webinar

This webinar provides information on internship opportunities with the Commonwealth Parliament and the Commonwealth Government. Find out about the Future Skills that are in demand in national and international policy-making and career pathways into government, diplomacy and global NGOs.

The Australian National Internships Program is the only university program in Australia that places students in research internships in the Commonwealth Parliament. The ANIP Program also offers internships with:

  • Attorney-General's Department
  • Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water
  • Department of Defence
  • Department of Education
  • Department of Health and Aged Care
  • Department of Industry, Science and Resources
  • Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
  • National Indigenous Australians Agency

Masters students and upper-level undergraduate students from any academic discipline are eligible to apply to undertake the ANIP course as cross-institutional study. Applicants must be Australian citizens.

Students travel to Canberra for an intensive 2-4 week work placement, and undertake a research project that counts towards their degrees across the semester. ANIP Travel Grants and Ken Wanganeen Scholarship are available to support inter-state students.
