Intergenerational inequality: are young Australians falling behind?

In this seminar, Dr Jennifer Rayner will discuss her new Redback Quarterly book Generation Less: How Australia is Cheating the Young (Black Inc, April, 2016), with Professor Peter Whiteford and Professor Bruce Chapman from the Crawford School of Public Policy at ANU.
The chair for the event is Professor John Uhr, Director of the Centre for the Study of Australian Politics, School of Politics and International Relations at ANU.
Jennifer Rayner received her PhD in political science from ANU in 2015, and has previously worked as an international youth ambassador in Indonesia and as a private sector consultant. She currently serves as a policy advisor to the Australian Labor party in the Federal Parliament.
Peter Whiteford is a Professor of Public Policy, Director of the Social Policy Insititute at Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU and a former senior official at the OECD responsible for social policy.
Bruce Chapman is a distinguished international economist and Distinguished Fellow of the Economics Society of Australia who is Director, Policy Impact in Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU.
