Exhibition Opening: The Void

ANU School of Art and Design luminaries Elliot Bastianon, Andres Caycedo, Sarit Cohen, Judi Elliott, Megan Hinton, Chelsea Lemon, Elizabeth Paterson, and Richard Whiteley are among the 15 outstanding craft practitioners and contemporary designers who have been invited to respond to, or reimagine, Enrico Taglietti’s work to celebrate his legacy and contribute a new perspective to his aesthetics.

The Void: Reimagining Enrico Taglietti reflects on and celebrates architect Enrico Taglietti’s lasting and important contribution to Canberra’s built environment.

Elliot Bastianon completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Hons) majoring in Furniture and a Bachelor of Arts at the ANU. He is the Founder and Director of Six Wiluna and Co-founder and Designer of Furnished Forever.

Full time ceramicist Andres Caycedo holds a Bachelor of Design Arts, majoring in Ceramics, from the ANU.

Ceramic artist Sarit Cohen completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts, majoring in Ceramics, from the ANU in 1992.

Ceramics and glass artist Judi Elliott holds an Associate Diploma in glass from the ANU School of Art and Design.

Freelance designer and artist Megan Hinton graduated from ANU with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Hons), majoring in Textiles. She is currently acting Director of PhotoAccess.

Chelsea Lemon holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Hons) from ANU, where she majored in Furniture Design. She is the Design Canberra 2018 Designer-in-Residence.

Elizabeth Paterson transitioned from professional theatre to the visual arts, completing a Graduate Diploma in Sculpture at the ANU School of Art and Design in 1994.

Richard Whiteley is Head of the ANU School of Art and Design Glass Workshop. In addition to an MFA from the University of Illinois, he holds an undergraduate degree from the ANU School of Art and Design, where he majored in Glass.
