CAIS O-Week 2025 Event: Discover the Middle East and Central Asia

Are you a student studying at ANU in 2025 and want to learn more about the Middle East and Central Asia?
Join us at O-Week to learn more about the Middle East and Central Asian regions and find out study options we provide for undergraduate and postgraduate students to better understand these areas.
The field of Middle Eastern and Central Asian studies integrates the study of Arab, Middle Eastern and Central Asian culture, civilisation, politics, history, and economics, and places these within the broader framework of the changing geo-political environment. It examines the role of religion—especially Islam—and fosters the study of the most relevant languages, as well as looking at related gender politics.
The Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies (CAIS) at ANU is Australia’s premier location for studies in this field, with a high international standing and links with its major counterparts in the Arab and Muslim world, as well as in North America and Europe.
This event is originally published on the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies website.
