Book launch: Fundamentals of Demographic Analysis

Dr Gordon Carmichael’s new book 'Fundamentals of Demographic Analysis: Concepts, Measures and Methods' has been just been published by Springer and will be launched by eminent demographer Professor Peter McDonald.
The book offers an introduction to demographic analysis that’s ideal for those new to the subject and provides a thorough grounding in basic concepts, principles, and techniques. It is mindful that the quantitative aptitudes of social science students are varied and aims to be intelligible to the not so numerate and the more numerate alike.
Gordon Carmichael is Associate Professor (Adjunct) at the ANU School of Demography, Research School of Social Sciences.
Peter McDonald is Professor of Demography at the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy.
The free book launch will take place at 1.15pm during the Colloquium Celebrating Graeme Hugo's Life which is being organised by the Australian Population Association. If you would like to attend the colloquium please purchase tickets from https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/graeme-hugo-colloquium-tickets-19615577721.
