Clare Humphries, Seas of Delerium (South side up), [detail] 2023. Ink and dry pigment, hand-sanded reduction linocut print on natural Washi paper with direct-trace drawing, 44.5 x 48.5 cm.

Shifting Space presents works by artists who have used print practices and methods to tell stories and ask questions about the sometimes steadfast, often shifting, relations with the land, sea and skies of this continent.

It considers the defining conditions of print - contact and pressure - and the analogous forces, whether geological or atmospheric, cultural or ideological, that shape the spaces we inhabit or imagine.
