Tara
I chose ANU because it is extremely well respected in the fields of International Relations and International Law. It also uniquely offers Forensic Anthropology - which is my major.
I chose my degree because I wanted to cover a broad range of skills and issues related to International Security. I decided to move to Canberra from Brisbane, because ANU is extremely well respected in the fields of International Relations and International Law. It also uniquely offers Forensic Anthropology - which is my major.
I decided to challenge myself and take two majors and a double degree. This way I'm able to approach the things I'm interested in from a variety of angles and academic disciplines.
Every day at ANU I have a great balance between study, work, and play. My average day is pretty busy - I go to classes and tutorials, work part-time, play sport, and study - all without neglecting my social life.
I am hoping that in five years time I will be finished my Undergraduate Studies and be completing my Master's researching somewhere exotic!
I firmly believe that anyone considering studying at ANU should think about what they want from University and how the Australian National University's strengths can help them achieve their goals. If you enjoy it, do it. Doing all the things that you are passionate about, whatever that combination is, will always be an advantage.
Tara has since graduated from the university.
