Studying and creating jewellery has been a dream of mine since I was young. The ANU allows me to study Gold and Silversmithing in an environment with fantastic facilities and teaching staff.

I attended school in Canberra and knew of the School of Art since I was quite young. I decided to study here because of the enthusiastic and creative energy that is ever present at the School of Art and across ANU campus.

Studying and creating jewellery has been a dream of mine since I was young. ANU allows me to study Gold and Silversmithing in an environment with fantastic facilities and teaching staff.

I often spend long and rewarding hours in the workshop making the most of the first-class facilities on offer. I also make sure I take the time to enjoy all that the campus has to offer. I love having lunch in different places around the University. Its such a great campus - its hard not to be enchanted by it. One of the best elements is how easy it is to access everything. Canberra has great bike paths and ANU is so close to so many parts of the city that I do a lot of bike riding.

I am hoping to use my Honours study as a launching pad to establish myself as an artist within contemporary jewellery galleries.

I have always been excited by the opportunities presented to me and I would tell anyone considering studying at ANU to not hold back - take the plunge and pursue their aspirations. It will be all that you imagined.

Sarah has since graduated from the university.
