ANU is the best place in Australia to pursue an international focused degree. The University's outstanding reputation was a big push for my transition to Canberra. I grew up in Melbourne and decided to make the move so I could get the most out of my degree. I hope to find employment overseas once I graduate - and ANU seemed like the best launching pad for this.
My background makes me akin to international relations as I have been roaming Europe and now the world as a result of tertiary opportunities. I find people interesting and the way cultures interact, fascinating. What interests me most is international migration, and therefore a combined degree in Arts/Law was the best option for me.

The most suprising thing about my course is that Law isn't as dry as I thought it would be! Every day at Uni is different in its own way. I spend a lot of time running to classes and making the most of the campus. I love sipping Chai lattes with friends while discussing big issues from all around the world.
I strongly believe that anyone coming to ANU should come with an open mind and willingness to try new things. I am a firm believer in joining as many clubs and societies as possible as they are a lot of fun and a great way to meet new, interesting, and like-minded people.
ANU is it's own community which I don't think you could experience in a metropolitan city. It's very friendly and small enough that you don't feel like a nobody. The same can be said for Canberra itself - and that is the very charm of the city.
Nina has since graduated from the university.
