The most surprising thing about my course is the fantastic lecturers – they’re all top experts in the field and enormously friendly, accessible, and helpful. My average day as a student involves going to classes, studying, talking to my classmates and lecturers, working out at the gym, and sometimes going to public lectures and academic seminars.
ANU & Your Degree
My advice to prospective students considering ANU… this is definitely the best university in Australasia, as long as you can bear Canberra; be prepared for the competition, because you’ll face a multitude of smart students; learn to utilise your lecturers and other resources on campus, and maybe go to the info sessions – your university is always doing things for you, some people just never find out.
I found that the transition from High School to University… was easier than I first thought.
I chose ANU… for its extraordinary international reputation, and honestly it was the only Australian university I knew at the time.
I chose my degree… in order to do the majors, i.e. I don’t mind which degree; I chose the majors.
The most surprising thing about my course... the fantastic lecturers – they’re all top experts in the field and enormously friendly, accessible, and helpful.
In five years... hopefully I’ll be doing my PhD.
