A conversation with José Ramos-Horta, Geoff Gallop and Khalid Tinasti

On 31 January 2020, the ACT will become the first jurisdiction in the Asia Pacific region to legalise the personal possession, use and cultivation of cannabis.

This law reform means that some people who use drugs will no longer be criminalised and punished. While a small step forward, it is part of a global shift in how we think about and how we treat people who use drugs.

Join us for this first event of the 2020 Canberra Drug Policy Series, where we will be in conversation with Dr José Ramos-Horta and Dr Geoff Gallop, both former heads of governments and currently Commissioners on the Global Commission on Drug Policy and the Commission's Executive Secretary Dr Khalid Tinasti.

This free event is expected to book out and is brought to you by ATODA, Uniting, The Australian National University School of Sociology with The Australian National University College of Asia and the Pacific.
