As part of ANU's 80 Years Together celebrations, CASS is bringing a day of stories, art and music to Community Day on Saturday 15 August. Here's what's on across our schools and centres.
ANU School of Art & Design Gallery – FUSE Glass Prize 2026

Canberra’s Population: Past, Present and Future
Lowitja O'Donoghue Cultural Centre, lobby
An interactive demography display exploring how Canberra's population has grown and changed over the past 80 years, what makes it distinctive, and where it might be headed next. Test your knowledge with a Canberra population quiz.
Visionaries Among Us
Lowitja O'Donoghue Cultural Centre · 3–5pm
A showcase of ANU research spanning artificial intelligence, astrophysics and Australia's deep history. CASS is represented by historian Professor Ann McGrath, exploring the stories that continue to shape the nation's identity and future.
Australia Day Trophy display

The Australia Day Trophy will be on display throughout Community Day.
ANU Chamber Choir performance
Kambri Outdoor Amphitheatre · 10am, following the Welcome to Country
The ANU Chamber Choir, conducted by Tobias Cole, performs a 25-minute selection from its Sublime Voices concert. The Choir also performs at the Strategic Plan launch at University House on Friday 14 August, presenting Marenzio's Gia torna and Britten's Evening Primrose.
Getting to each of these activities is easy. Use the map below to find each venue, and hop on the Molly or Nugget shuttle bus running a continuous loop around campus throughout the day.
Community Day shuttle bus
The Molly and Nugget buses will run a circuit around campus, including stops at:
- University House
- ANU School of Art & Design, the FUSE Glass Prize exhibition
The full circuit takes approximately 25 minutes, with buses expected at each stop every 10–15 minutes. Check out our interactive map to find each location.
