Unfortunately I had a difficult time that did impact my study, however, I am lucky at the same time that teachers in ANU truly care about their students.
A fond or happy memory of your time at ANU
“We are always here to help you and support you! ” my course convenor said that to me.
I was going through a difficult time last year due to some reasons. I held valid supporting documentation and went to discuss about applying for extension with my course convenor. I suddenly cried while I was filling in the application form. My course convenor passed me tissues and had been very caring and patiently listening and talking to me for almost half an hour. I was sad due to that hard time, but I was glad and appreciated that teachers won’t leave you alone and they are trying their best to help you wherever they are able to offer help and advice!
Unfortunately I had a difficult time that did impact my study, however, I am lucky at the same time that teachers in ANU truly care about their students. They care about you as a student, also they care about you as a human who need empathy, support and help while going through difficult times in your life!
Post-graduation plans
I am now studying a Bachelor of Arts honours degree specialisation in digital humanities. I am glad that I can have an opportunity to continually study in ANU and conduct my research with my favourite and most supportive supervisor and lecturers.
Words of support or hope to your fellow graduand cohort
Due to this COVID-19 pandemic, it has been lots of uncertainty and challenges added into everyone’ life. We finally made through this tough semester and graduated. Congratulations!!
I hope all of you will figure out what you want to do in the future and best wishes to everyone. If you still haven’t figure out what is your post-graduation plans, don’t worry, you will eventually know your future path. It’s always good to give yourself a break as well and you deserve a break. Please remember that we are so brave and strong to “smash” the last semester during pandemic period and be able to graduate from ANU, the top and outstanding university in the world. In the future, when you face with some challenges and difficulties in your life, please tell yourself that YOU CAN DO IT given the successful past experience of coping with study while in an extremely stressing pandemic period.
