Michael J. Thawley AO

Alumnus and former Burton & Garran Hall resident Michael J Thawley AO (BA (Hons)'72) is a former senior Australian public servant. From December 2014 to January 2016 he was Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

He was previously Australia's ambassador to the US and Senior Vice-President of Capital Research and Management company, one of the world's largest investment management businesses.
