The Honourable Shane Stone

The Honourable Shane Stone is currently the Executive Chairman of the APAC group of companies. Other credits include being the former Chief Minister of the Northern Territory and the Federal President of the Liberal Party.  During his term in Northern Territory Government he held many portfolios including Minister for Asian Relations and Trade – a portfolio which was unique at the time.

Further to this, Shane is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Management.  He has served as a Board Member of many diverse groups and companies such as City Pacific Limited and Australian Healthcare Technologies Limited.  He is also a foundation member of the PT Thiess Indonesia Board.

Shane is a recipient of the Panglima Gemilang Dariah Kinabalu Yang Amat Mulia (PGDK) (Knight Commander Most Honourable Order of Kinabalu Sabah Malaysia) and the Bintang Jasa Pratama (Order of Service Medal, Republic of Indonesia). He was made a Life Member of the Philippines Australia Business Council in Manila on his retirement in 1999. Shane was conferred the Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list on 12 June 2006. His citation included service to the oil and gas industry, regional relations in Asia Pacific and to inter Government relations.
