Moving from Melbourne to ANU was the best life decision I ever made. Although I was sad and a little apprehensive to leave my friends and life, it was incredibly easy to make new friends and Canberra turned out to be pretty great!
I chose ANU because I was really excited by the academics and staff from the University that came to talk at my school. I was wanting a new life experience, such as moving away from home, and ANU fit all my needs.

I chose my degree because I had always wanted to study Spanish since I saw the movie "Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights" when I was in Year 8. I have always loved Geography at High School, and I thought that Law would be a handy addition. When I told my first year Spanish teacher how I came to make that decision he laughed at me! But my first year experience led me to make Spanish my major and since then I have studied in Chile and Argentina, and travelled to South America.
My average day as a student at ANU comprises of classes, going to the gym, and coffee with friends. I love that I have met such a diverse range of people from all over Australia and the World.
I would recommend ANU to any prospective student. You won't regret it! It will be an amazing life experience and with some hard work you will get a highly regarded degree at the end of it.
