Reworking the Relationship between Asylum and Employment

Professor Penelope Mathew's new book 'Reworking the Relationship between Asylum and Employment' has been launched by UNHCR representative Richard Towle at ANU this week.

Touching on the laws and practices of a wide array of countries around the globe, this book examines the extent to which refugees and asylum-seekers’ right to work is protected by international human rights law.

Professor Mathews is the Freilich Foundation Chair. Her primary interests are international law, human rights law, refugee law and feminist theory.
