A day for celebration

It was a celebratory day on 19 December as more than 750 graduands from the College of Arts and Social Sciences celebrated years of hard work with their closest friends and family.
They now go on to join the ANU alumni community with the more than 3,400 graduands university-wide who had their degrees conferred last week.
At a celebration lunch hosted by the College, Acting Dean Dr Royston Gustavson congratulated graduating students for their hard work.
“Be proud of your achievements and enjoy your graduation ceremony,” he said.
“Your graduation is the product of hard work and dedication and for most of you, has been many years in the making.
“I am sure that you will all go on to make a positive impact in your careers.”
College alumnus David Caffery, who now works as Cultural Coordinator and Events Manager for the Molonglo Group, also spoke at the event.
