CASS students win Australia Asia Awards

Two CASS students have been awarded the Prime Minister's Australia Asia Award for 2013. The Australia Asia Awards provide the unique opportunity for the best and brightest students to undertake international research, study and internships in fields related to their study.

Elly Kent is a PhD candidate from the School of Art. Elly will spend 12 months studying in Indonesia to undertake fieldwork towards her dissertation on participatory practices amongst Indonesian artists and to deepen her connection with the Indonesian arts community. 

Vida Kusnartono from Indonesia has also been successful in achieving an Australia Asia Award. As part of her award, Vida will undertake her higher degree by research candidature in the School of Archaeology and Anthropology in 2013. Vida graduated from ANU in 2006, completing a Master of Arts with a Specialisation in Archaeology (First class honours).
