Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at ANU ranked amongst world's best

Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at ANU has been recognised amongst the best in the world in the latest QS World University Rankings.

Arts and Humanities ranked one in Australia and 13 in the world, and Social Sciences ranked one in Australia and 16 in the world.

“I’m delighted to see that the cutting edge research  and commitment of my colleagues has been recognised in these recent rankings,” Professor Toni Makkai, Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences said.

“These international rankings highlight the global reach of our research and the high-quality teaching that the College provides in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences,” she said.

ANU continues to climb through the ranks of global universities, rising to 24 in the world in the overall university rankings. Two places up from last year, and the best result for an Australian university, the ranking is the second in as many months to chart the rise of ANU through international ranks.
