Art graduate's Polynesian-inspired works on show

A graduate of the ANU School of Art, Tevita Havea, has been recognised as one of the country's most exciting glass artists with his works displayed in the Kirra Galleries 2012 exhibition season.
The exhibition, titled OSMOSIS, is the 10th season for the Kirra Galleries at Federation Square.
Tevita graduated from the glass workshop in the ANU School of Art in 2005 and has since been recognised in Australia and the USA for his works that are influenced by his Tongan background.
His works use blown glass with woven twine and carved wood to form contemporary pieces that are symbolic of the customs and culture of his Polynesian ancestors.
OSMOSIS will open on Thursday 1 March.
