Colin Groves - Who is this paragon?

What is it like when you are awarded the highest professional honour in your discipline? When they read out your name in front of hundreds of people? 

Colin Groves from the ANU School of Archaeology and Anthropology is a 'giant in his field' and he was recently given one of the highest awards possible: an Honorary Life Membership in the American Society of Mammalogists.
