Summer Research Scholarships

If you are a student currently enrolled at a university in Australia or New Zealand and you are contemplating Honours in 2009 - why not apply for a summer research scholarship with the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences?.

We are offering a number of scholarships for students who wish to develop their research skills by working alongside Australia's leading researchers in the fields of Humanities, Creative Arts and Social Sciences.

Successful students will receive full board at Burgmann College; weekly tax-free allowance; return travel to Canberra and the opportunity to undertake a short research project on an approved topic.

Opportunities are available for students to work alongside academics in the following areas:

Australian Demographic & Social Research Institute
Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research
Faculty of Arts
Research School of Humanities
Research School of Social Sciences

To apply for a Summer Research Scholarship at ANU, you must complete the online application by 31 August 2008. In order for your application to be completed, you must send a copy of your academic transcript to the Summer Research Scholarships Coordinator by no later than 31 August 2008 - summer.scholarships@anu.edu.au AND your referees must send their references directly to the Summer Research Scholarships Coordinator by no later than 31 August 2008 - summer.scholarships@anu.edu.au

Applications will not be assessed without these supporting documents.

Applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are keenly sought.
