Professor Emeritus Harry Rigby passed away in Canberra on Monday 21 March.
Professor Rigby was the founding father and former President of the Australasian Association for Communist and Post-Communist Studies and was an Academy Fellow at the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.
Professor Rigby specialised in the society and politics of twentieth century Russia and his recent research included political clientelism past and present and political elites.
The funeral will take place at 10.00am on Friday 25 March at St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral in Manuka, Canberra. Guests are welcomed to attend.
