How do I use it?
Find a computer. Go to https://anubis.anu.edu.au/login.asp. Login with upir uni ID (U + student number) and password. **It's a good idea to change the password to something easy to remember.**
How do I find out what courses I can take?
Study@ANU has everything you need to know about courses being offered, the structure of your degree, majors, prerequisities, etc. A list of all Arts first year courses is in this book and full course information is available on Study@ANU.
If I want to change my mind about the courses I’ve chosen - who can I talk to?

How do I change my courses?
You have two weeks after the start of the semester to change courses. During this time you can add and drop courses on ISIS without it showing on your academic transcript. After this date, if you want to ADD a course you will have to:

come to the Faculty Office

complete a course variation form
-
have the signed approval of your lecturer
-
pay a non-refundable admin fee
BE CAREFUL: If you drop a course after 31 March (Semester 1) or 31 August (Semester 2) you will be charged HECS and your academic transcript with have a ‘withdrawn’ code on it.
Who do I go to if I’m having trouble with my course?
Your tutor or lecturer. You will find out who your tutor is when your tutorial groups are finalised. They are there to help and advise you on any problems you may be having.
What is a pre-requisite course?
If the course you are trying to enrol in says there is a prerequisite course it means you have to complete that course before you can enrol in the one you want to.
What is status?
- get an Application for Status form from the Faculty Office
- fill out the form and attach a transcript and descriptions of the courses you want credit for (usually a university handbook entry)
- hand in the completed form to the Faculty Office
- consideration of status applications can take up to six weeks to be assessed
What is a permission code?
- You can get a “Permission to Waive Prerequisites” form from the School
Office or Faculty Office. - Take it to the lecturer of the course and get their signature of approval.
- Take the signed form to the School Offi ce to get a permission code.
- Use the permission code to ‘override’ ISIS.
What is 'registration of major'?
You don’t need to know what your majors will be in first year. But sometime in your second year you will need to register your majors with the Faculty Office. In a single BA you have to complete two majors and at least one in a combined degree.
How do I get my student card?
How do I find my lectures and tutorials?
timetable.anu.edu.au. Keep checking lecture details for the first couple of weeks as they can change. Details of tutorials and how to sign up will be given to you in your fi rst lecture. Tutorial sign-up sheets are either available at the School Administration Offices during the first week of classes, or you can sign-up online.

How do I work out my timetable?

Class attendance
commitments, or illness, you must keep your lecturer and tutor informed at all times. Please note that some courses include an element of attendance and participation in the final grade. Failure to do so may result in failure in the course.
Where do I buy my books?
- The ANU Co-Op Book Shop in Union Square. Join the Co-Op and get 10%
off all books. - The second-hand bookshop in the Student Association office (Building 17a Union Court).
