Survey reveals what Australians think are the Top 10 most historic events for the nation

A research survey conducted by the Social Research Centre and The Australian National University has identified what Australians consider to be the top 10 significant events for the nation.

The Life in Australia Historic Events Survey found that three in 10 Australians felt 2017's historic same-sex marriage legislation was Australia's most historic event, which was the top result, followed by the 9/11 terror attacks on the United States in 2001, and the Australian Government's 2008 apology to Indigenous Australians.
