The delegation, from China’s north western ancient former capital of Xi'an, famed for its terracotta warriors, visited Canberra on 24 November.

“We had fruitful discussions about education and research collaborations in a range of areas of public policy and social sciences,” Associate Dean (International) Professor Jacqueline Lo said.

“We look forward to developing the relationship between both institutions.”

CASS officials included Professor Matthew Gray, Director of the Centre for Social Research and Methods, and Dr Andrew Banfield, Head of the School of Politics and International Relations.

The Chinese delegation included officials from the Institute of Health Management and Policy and a School of Public Policy and Administration.
