Gain workplace experience whilst you study
The Australian National Internships Program (ANIP) allows you to obtain valuable workplace experience while gaining significant academic credit towards your postgraduate coursework degree. The program is open to any enrolled student at an Australian or overseas university, from any discipline. ANIP interns have been placed in Parliament House, Canberra’s Legislative assembly and in a wide range of government and non-government organisations.
As part of your internship you will complete a research project and produce a report for your host organisation. This will help you to develop your project management, organisational, research, communication and teamwork skills.
Ms Janet Walker, a Master of Public Policy student, is currently working as an intern in the Australian Parliament in the office of independent MP Tony Windsor. Her research topic is ‘How could an agricultural resilience program operate which assists income stability through the utilisation of environmental stewardship and carbon sequestration?’
