Open Studio: Tea in the Potter's Garden 2018

Visit four open studios in a single location: go behind the scenes and watch eight craft, design and visual artists work with clay from sculpture to tableware, interior and exterior design.

Seven of the featured makers are ANU School of Art and Design luminaries: Fran Romano, Jo Victoria, Andres Caycedo, Rajan Reddy, Lia Tajcnar, Alya Khan, and Richilde Flavell.

Makers of ceramic tableware, local tea blenders Endeavour Tea, and florist Peony n Pearl will also indulge your senses in an intimate and thoughtfully curated market in the gardens of the Watson Arts Centre.

Ceramic artist Fran Romano completed a Diploma of Visual Art at the ANU School of Art and Design in 2013, majoring in Ceramics.

Canberra-based ceramic artist Jo Victoria completed a Master of Visual Arts with the ANU School of Art and Design.

Full time ceramicist Andres Caycedo holds a Bachelor of Design Arts, majoring in Ceramics, from the ANU.

Rajan Reddy is working towards his Master of Studies at ANU, focusing on Sculpture.

Lia Tajcnar holds a Master of Philosophy in Ceramics from the ANU.

Alya Khan graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from the ANU School of Art and Design in 2015.

Richilde Flavell holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from ANU, where she majored in Ceramics.
