Lady Kintore’s Corroboree

Recent research collaboration with Indigenous Australian communities and scholars on early Indigenous collections in British museums has elicited exciting new understandings of Australian material culture and history. This lecture will illustrate some of the ways in which this collaboration is being carried out illustrating and discussing the new questions and insights raised by this approach.
