Wattle Implementation Project Objectives and Responsibilities

The CASS Wattle team is taking a co-ordinated approach to the Wattle roll-out in the College, and draws on the individual skills and expertise of team members to achieve the following objectives:

Project overview (Denise Ferris)

  • To direct CASS strategy on the roll-out of Wattle in the College
  • To represent the College on the Wattle Reference Group

Educational design (Meg Poore)

  • To provide advice to staff on the pedagogical uses of Wattle
  • To provide training sessions to staff on online teaching and learning with Wattle
  • To work with teachers to design and develop programs and courses that sit inside Wattle
  • To develop, with teachers, teaching and learning activities and objects that can be supported in Wattle
  • To assist teachers to comply with College base-line requirements for information provided to students via Wattle

Project management (Jake Francis)

  • To make recommendations to the Project Head regarding strategic implications for the roll-out of Wattle for College teaching staff
  • To provide information to staff relating to the roll-out of Wattle, as well as early opportunties for early uptake
  • To liaise with DoI on business matters relating to Wattle

Technical (Loan Dao)

  • To provide basic technical training for staff in the use of Wattle
  • To co-ordinate training opportunities, via DoI, for staff who wish to explore the more advanced functions of Wattle
  • To provide technical support for questions about Wattle, by appointment
