Set Up or Update Supervisory Panel & Thesis Title
Students are responsible for ensuring that their supervisory panel details are correct and up to date. To do so, you must check your Supervisory Panel details in ISIS. Currently these are buried deep within the ISIS interface: go to Navigator/ISIS/Research/Research Candidature/Information. The Candidature Details Form is to be used by all students enrolled in a CASS research higher degree.
The form is a fillable PDF. It must be filled in with all relevant sections completed and emailed using a current ANU email account in order to validate the contents.

Students must have a Chair of Panel within one month of commencing their program. PhD students must have at least three panel members and MPhil student must have at least two. The full panel must be set up within three months of program commencement, unless otherwise approved by the CASS Associate Dean HDR.
All panels must have one Chair of Panel and a Primary Supervisor. These may or may not be the same person. The only other acceptable role on a panel is Associate Supervisor. Students can have more than one Associate Supervisor on a panel. If a panellist’s role is listed as ‘supervisor’ or ‘advisor’, for example, this must be updated to either ‘primary’ or ‘associate’ supervisor.
If you need to set up or update your panel membership, and/or register your thesis title:
Students should fill in their part of the Panel Details Form, save and email to their School HDR Administrator.
School administrators check details and complete their section of the Panel Details Form, attaching the POI (Person of Interest) form if needed.
The Form is then emailed to the current or proposed Chair of Panel to complete. The Chair emails their version of the Form to the Head of School.
If Associate Dean HDR approval is required, the Head of School endorses the form and forwards it to firstname.lastname@example.org for the Associate Dean to approve.
If the Associate Dean’s approval is not required, the Head of School approves the form and returns it to the School HDR administrator to process.
