CASS Application for Admission to Honours

If you are a current ANU student, either local or international, currently completing a bachelors degree, you are known as an Internal applicant and you must complete the CASS Honours Application form below.

If you are a domestic or international external applicant (i.e. your bachelors degree was completed at a university other than the ANU)  you must submit the online CASS Honours Application form below as well as the ANU admissions application for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program.

Honours application submission dates:

Important note:

In the email of Environment Honours convenor field, enter fses.coursework.enquiries@anu.edu.au

If you are applying for Honours in Visual or Design Arts, you must submit a research proposal and portfolio of work to the School of Art student office, before submitting this application. Click here to download the guidelines.

If you are in a combined Arts program (i.e.: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Economics), your honours will be attached to your Bachelor of Arts component only. You must have fulfilled the requirements for your Arts component before you can be admitted to honours. Please note: There is no honours year available under the Bachelor of Languages program. Students who have completed or are expecting to complete a Bachelor of Languages program, who wish to undertake an honours year, need to select the Bachelor of Arts program in the Program Name field.
If you selected Performance then you need to specify what Instrument (i.e.: Jazz Bass or Double Bass).
All School of Art applicants must provide their full research proposal in the section above.

Please note that supervisors and convenors MUST be ANU academics, within the College of Arts and Social Sciences. You can find a list of convenors here if you will like assistance to find an ANU academic. If you submit an application that has a non ANU supervisor or convenor, your application will not be assessed.


 

You MUST have arranged a supervisor before submitting your form. Applications that do not have a supervisor will not be processed. This does not apply to Psychology applicants who will confirm their supervisors after approved for entry into the honours program. Psychology applicants must enter "Not Applicable" in the section above.
Psychology applicants must enter "ug.students.cass@anu.edu.au" in the section above.
You MUST contact the respective Honours Convenor before submitting your form. School of Art applicants do not need to contact the Honours Convenor; however please complete the Honours Convenor field with the name Ms. Raquel Ormella. Psychology applicants do not need to contact the Honours Convenor; however please complete the Honours Convenor field with the name Dr. Michael Platow.
School of Art applicants must enter "raquel.ormella@anu.edu.au" in the section above. Psychology applicants must enter "ug.students.cass@anu.edu.au" in the section above.
